We will conduct and on-site space assessment for you by appointment only which will include recommendations on how to use your space and what plants are favorable for your spaces.  We have a flat rate charge of  $50 for this consultation.  To pay for this service, please go to our products tabs and select consultations.  

Presentations and Workshops

We will conduct a one hour on-site or zoom presentation or workshop of your choice for you by appointment only which will include conducting the workshop and providing reference materials to each student electronically and provide a Q&A session to clarify any material discussed.  We have a flat rate charge of $200 for each presentation.  To pay for this service, please go to our products tab and select Presentations.  

About your presenter and owner 

Linda L. Jones, Clinton, Md is a certified master gardener and owner of Elements of Nature - Botanicals and Farmaceuticals, Clinton, Maryland where she focuses on growing flowers and herbs and gardening education. She is an avid seed collector and has a collection of over 500 varieties of open-pollinated and heirloom, annual, perennial and herb seeds.

She has hosted several community seed exchanges in Prince George’s County under the title of Stewards of Future Harvests, a seed-exchange she started in 2017 which has been a way to further her efforts as a home gardener and urban farmer. She is constantly reminded of the benefits and pleasures of collecting seeds as a way to help ensure continuous plant diversity for generations to come. She has presented on several diverse gardening topics and has led workshops throughout the DMV since 2010, beginning as a master gardener intern. She has presented multiple times at Montpellier Festival of Herbs, Tea and the Arts, Crossroads of Hughesville Garden Club, Prince Georges Herb Society and at The Washington Gardener Seed Exchange and on behalf of her business and most recently at the Silver Spring Garden Club. She also collaborated with the Bloomin’ PGC Urban Agricultural Initiative and currently serves as the PGC urban agriculture representative on the Southern Maryland Agricultural commission.

She was recently featured on Washington Gardener Magazine's Podcast - on winter sowing , Cottage in the court's Podcast on gardening, and WHUR’s pod cast (April 2018) The Daily Drum on the topic Lawn and Garden Care Tips For Spring. And has also appeared on Laurel Public television’s Keeping it Green which featured the Prince George’s Herb Society’s community herb garden. In addition she has narrated two how-to videos on behalf of the Prince George’s County Master Gardener Program on Winter Sowing and Houseplant Repotting. All of these public service media collaborations have widespread broadcast and have reached diverse local and international communities throughout. Her love of gardening began as a teenager and she has worked tirelessly since to educate others on organic gardening basics. She often incorporates tips on creative, effective and alternative ways to maximize growing potential and space.
